Pete Boston
I always wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up, but settled on qualifying as a graphic designer. Now a Prince2 Project Manager and have been working for Headscape since 2005.
What do you do at Headscape?
I manage projects, people and schedules with the aim of keeping clients happy with top notch solutions.
What do you do when you aren’t doing that?
I juggle my kids, my wonderful wife, schedules, housework (yes, housework) and kids taxi service with the aim of keeping everyone happy. When I get the chance I love playing and following cricket (along with many other sports), travel as much as possible, enjoy interesting cars and listen to a variety of music.
What has been your favourite project to work on and why?
There are many but if I had to choose one, St John’s College Oxford would pip the post. SJC had a strong emphasis on design, a well considered approach to custom elements of our CMS and were a client that understood the process of designing a new site. Nestle would be up there too, with bias distorted after we visited their headquarters on Lake Geneva which overlooks the snow-capped Alps!
Do you have a hobby or interest we should know about?
Slide photography - in my opinion the purest form of photography as the opportunity for enhancements are minimal.
What is your greatest personal achievement?
Can I mention two? 1) jumping off a 350ft bridge in New Zealand being attached to nothing but a 345ft rubber band. 2) Taking 7 wickets for 37 runs against Hayling Island in the Hampshire Cricket League.
