Vitae
Vitae is a national organisation championing the personal, professional and career development of doctoral researchers and research staff.
One of Vitae’s primary goals has been to promote the development of a community of HR professionals, careers advisers and others who have an interest in researcher career development. This large, dynamic site supports the community by being a trusted information source, a place where articles are published and discussed, a repository containing databases of practice, resources and career stories and a place to advertise and find events.
Based on Headscape’s content management system, the site has been implemented to support highly customised publication processes and integration with a pre-existing CRM system. The sheer numbers of pages and database entries, the complexity of content data structures and the complexity of some of the required editorial and publication processes have made this a fascinating and challenging project.
